EPPING, NH (January 18, 2024)- In the wake of a 5-alarm fire at the company’s Epping, New Hampshire service yard last Saturday, North Atlantic is first and foremost appreciative of firefighters, emergency personnel and members of the NA team who responded to the event. The impacted yard is a hub for North Atlantic’s fuel and firewood operations. In spite of this major event, North Atlantic has continued to meet customer needs relying on the grit and skill of their administrative and service teams and community support.

“I don’t have words to express how grateful I feel to everyone that came out to battle the fire Saturday night,” said Rob Wilich, President of North Atlantic. “Community is at the core of our business, providing a local and reliable option for home heating needs, and this community showed up for us big time.” 

While cleanup and site work is underway, as of Monday North Atlantic had already resumed regular operations at full capacity and purchased three oil trucks, replacing those lost in the fire. Despite the impact of the fire all fuel deliveries are occurring on time. This is possible only with the outpouring of community support North Atlantic has received, including from other local fuel providers and vendors. The NH Department of Environmental Services is working diligently, in cooperation with North Atlantic and local town authorities, to ensure cleanup efforts are swift and thorough. Additionally, North Atlantic has enlisted Clean Harbors, North America’s leading provider of environmental services, to advise and support the efforts. While the cause of the fire remains uncertain, no foul play is suspected. Ultimately, we are thankful that nobody was harmed during the fire, North Atlantic is immensely grateful for the support received that night and the days that have followed.
